Česká krajina (Czech landscape)
Non-profit organization Česká krajina (Czech landscape)
Armor tracks and exploding munition must really wreck havoc in the country. The land would feel a relief when the soldiers are gone, right? Actually, wrong. And protecting the valuable locations in former military areas is one of activities performed by this year's Česfur charity partner, Česká krajina (Czech landscape).
It is, of course, but one of many projects oriented towards landscape protection, maintaining biodiversity and climate change adaptation. What may such protection look like? For example as a preserve in which a herd of "wild" horses grazes on agressive grasses while herd of european bizons removes unwelcome trees and bushes. Apart of being a beautiful sight, such measures are often cheaper than mechanization based measures.
Are you curious how are horses connected to butterflies or what does european moose protection look like? If you can read in czech, you can learn that (and much more) on Česká krajina website. If you can't, visit a presentation by the company members that will be held on Česfur in English. We believe their work makes sense, help us support the worthy cause.
